Cracking Slate is seeking a Production Stage Manager to work on their new family show, Voyagers. Voyagers is a new interplanetary adventure for children aged 6-11 and their families about dreams and aspirations.Job Description
The Production Stage Manager will oversee the technical and logistical execution of Cracking Slate’s production both in rehearsals and during performances. This role requires a proactive and organised professional who will support the team during rehearsals, coordinate closely with the venue technical teams, manage the get in and technical rehearsals and call the show during performances. The ideal candidate will blend strong stage management discipline with the technical oversight required of a production manager.
The Production Stage Manager will report to the Producer.
Duration: 2.5 weeks Dates: Rehearsals/Performances: 21/9/26 – 2/10/26 (Monday-Friday). Pre-production will begin mid August with production meeting dates tbc.
Total Fee: £1800, 2.5 weeks @ £650p.w. + Holiday Pay (1.35 days)

Job Requirements
Proven experience in touring stage management and technical production management. Excellent organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and exceptional punctuality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effectively managing venue relations. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to fast-paced rehearsal environments. Knowledge of industry health and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the producer to maintain the highest production standards. Organise documentation throughout rehearsals, including tracking script updates and technical changes. Stage manage the production during performances and distribute a rehearsal/show report each day to the producer and director. Liaise with the venue technical manager prior to tech rehearsals. Ensure all props, costumes, and physical production elements remain organised, maintained, and ready for performance. Collaborate proactively with other production, creative and company members fostering a supportive production environment. Perform any other duties as reasonably required based on industry norms and practices for a Production Stage Manager.
