Nottingham Playhouse is one of the UK’s leading producing theatres, creating bold, ambitious productions that entertain, challenge and inspire audiences locally and nationally. As a registered charity, fundraising plays a vital role in enabling us to create world-class productions while ensuring theatre remains accessible to everyone. Support from individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate partners and sponsors helps fund our artistic programme, participation work, education projects and community initiatives.

The Fundraising and Development Officer will play an important part in delivering this work by ensuring our supporters receive an outstanding experience and by providing the administration, coordination and relationship management that underpins successful fundraising. Reporting to the Development & Sponsorship Manager, the Fundraising and Development Officer will support every aspect of Nottingham Playhouse’s fundraising programme.

The role combines administration, relationship management, event coordination, CRM management, financial processing and communications. You’ll work with colleagues across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Producing, Participation and Customer Experience, becoming a key member of an organisation that values collaboration and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who combines excellent administration with outstanding interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for relationship building.

Job Responsibilities

The Fundraising and Development Officer will support all aspects of Nottingham Playhouse’s fundraising programme.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporter Relationships Fundraising Administration CRM and Data Events Funding and Sponsorship Collaboration

The successful candidate will play an important role in helping Nottingham Playhouse build lasting relationships with supporters while ensuring fundraising activity is delivered professionally, efficiently and in line with best practice.
