Job Description

Warley Male Choir is a vibrant and passionate community of singers with a rich history and a reputation for musical excellence. Our varied repertoire spans a wide range of genres, from traditional choral works to contemporary arrangements.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and inspiring Musical Director to lead the choir into an exciting new chapter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for male choral singing, strong musical leadership skills and a commitment to developing the choir’s musical standards while fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and enjoyment.

The Job is for 2 hours per week. 40 weeks per year with a yearly salary of £2300 but we are happy to discuss this further with you.

Teamwork: The ability to foster camaraderie, enthusiasm and enjoyment among choir members.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and conduct rehearsals and performances.

Select and develop a varied and engaging musical repertoire.

Inspire and motivate choir members to achieve high musical standards.

Develop members’ vocal skills, musical understanding and confidence.

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive choir environment.

Prepare the choir for concerts, performances and other engagements.

Work collaboratively with the choir’s committee to support its continued development and future success.
