Afternoon Sarangi Soul

Experience the sound of afternoon ragas by two of the finest emerging sarangi players with the debut concert by Rajasthani cousins Sabir and Momin Khan.

Known as the ‘instrument of a hundred colours’, the sarangi – a bowed string instrument used in Hindustani classical music – is often said to have a timbre resembling the human voice. Coming from a distinguished musical heritage, Sabir and Momin Khan learned their art from veteran player Ustad Moinuddin.
