Brahms as Brahms wished it to be heard: Sir Mark Elder joins Britten Sinfonia for the second instalment of their Brahms Symphony Cycle, paired with Mahler’s emotionally charged Songs of a Wayfarer, and Britten’s Suite on English Folk Tunes, the composer’s last completed orchestral work.
