Games Emerging Talent Scheme

Northern Ireland Screen’s Games Emerging Talent Scheme supports new and emerging game development talent in Northern Ireland to create and publicly release an original short-form narrative game.

The scheme focuses on narrative games that place players within an imagined world and guide them through an authored story or narrative experience. Projects should be suitable for release on digital platforms such as Steam or itch.io.

Designed for early-career game developers, artists and creative practitioners, the scheme provides the opportunity to develop original intellectual property while gaining practical experience in game production, market testing and commercial release. Participants will work alongside experienced studios and industry mentors, building the creative, technical and leadership skills needed to progress their careers.

Participating studios will provide mentorship and professional guidance throughout the development process, helping to nurture the next generation of games talent while benefiting from fresh creative ideas and original IP.
