Festivals

Festivals provide an important opportunity to celebrate the richness and diversity of culture in Wales. They can reach audiences who might not usually engage with traditional arts venues, creating inclusive and inspiring experiences.

This fund supports focused, time-limited festivals that deliver vibrant, high-quality arts programmes and reach the widest possible audience. We welcome festivals that present a single artform or a mix of artforms, and we are particularly keen to support those that commission, create, and present new artistic work.

We can support festivals at different levels of request. However, higher funding asks must evidence greater impact and stronger outcomes. You can find out more about funding levels below.

The maximum request is £100,000. This can be for one or two years of activity. Organisations applying for two years of activity must have an appropriate track record and clear development plan.
