Scrub up for an art transplant

A small exhibition with big ideas, ON TRUST at Campbell Works in north London explores the relationship between artist, commissioner and curator and asks, “Whose art is it anyway?”

This week, artists Neil Taylor, Harriet Murray and curator Claire Nichols throw open the doors of their Stoke Newington gallery in what may be the one of the first art transplants.

Campbell Works set out to “hand over control of an idea at the point where its exhibition is envisioned”. They commissioned five artists, who wrote down their ideas and handed these over to the gallery to interpret and create the artwork.
