Ever feel like you are you are in the midst of an elaborate deception? Could everyone around you be in on the joke, except for you? Well it’s possible that it’s not just your own paranoia at work – you could in fact be in the midst of an ‘Invisible Theatre’ production from Noh Budget Films, a form of theatre where the public are unwittingly embroiled in scenes as a way in which to explore different themes and issues.

Inspired by Augusto Boal’s ‘theatre of the oppressed’, Invisible Theatre aims to take actors out into the community to play out scenarios in every day public spaces such as shops or supermarkets with scenarios that will also involve random members of the public. Staging a live theatre show is nerve wrecking enough, however the Invisible Theatre workshop run by Noh Budget Films aims to push this further with a bold attempt at taking theatre into the community.
