Interview with artist Enrico David

“It’s like throwing a dinner party – I just hope that they enjoy the menu”, says artist Enrico David on the eve of his first major solo exhibition at the ICA. Samiat Pedro was there to find out how he felt, as his artworks underwent intense scrutiny at the press view.

Talking to artist, Enrico David, it begins to become clear where the intensity and tragic humour found within his work derives from. “It’s a great opportunity,” says Enrico, “group shows are almost tailor made, while this is an opportunity to see what works, I’m going to take full advantage of it. I’m going out with a bang!” he laughs.
