Festival fever: what’s on overseas

You may not have signed up to Glastonbury’s increasingly fascistic ticketing system, but you can still out-obscure even the most indie-minded of your friends with a trip to an overseas festival. While music festivals are one of the few things that the UK actually does well, sometimes the lure of the foreign proves difficult to resist. Conveniently, festivals are sprouting like mushrooms across Europe, offering the chance to combine your summer dose of live music with a holiday and a total immersion course in the musical mores of another culture.
