Cirque du Soleil to cut 400 jobs

Following the 2008 economic downturn and a strong Canadian dollar, the Cirque du Soleil will cut 400 jobs.

World-renowned entertainment troupe Cirque du Soleil announced earlier this week it will lay off 400 staff – 9 per cent of the company’s workforce – at least 50 per cent of them from its Montreal headquarters.
