Belgrade Theatre steps back into the spotlight

The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee in style next year, after it reopens on 7 September after a multi-million pound refit. Actor Clive Owen began his career here, as did Michael Crawford and Sir Ian McKellen.

The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee in style next year, after it reopens on 7 September after a multi-million pound refit.

London architects Stanton Williams – responsible for refitting London’s Royal National Theatre and Birmingham’s Gas Hall – have designed a seven-storey extension that includes a second auditorium called B2, comprising flexible staging and up to 300 seats.
