You might not know the name but chances are you have played Exquisite Corpse, the parlour game where participants take turns to compile a narrative.

The concept is as old as charades but with the rise of social media it has experienced a virtual renaissance. Two notable recent projects include Tim Burton’s crowd-sourced Cadavre Exquis, and Neil Gaiman’s fan-sourced Twitter story.
