Humans are hardwired for a good story

Whether its gossip, a book or sitting around telling a good yarn, scientists say there’s no denying we were made for storytelling.

Scientists have discovered that our brains are naturally programmed to use the facts around us to create a story which, in essence, is a way of ordering the chaos that surrounds us.

Warwick Business School Professor in psychology Nick Chater says that our brains are continually putting order and structure into our environment and experiences.
