Australians wrap up top awards in Singapore

Of the six awards offered by Asia newest contemporary art prize, Australian artists scooped four.

No stranger to awards, the top accolade for the inaugural Prudential Eye Awards in Singapore went to painter Ben Quilty.

Announced on Saturday night, this gala event capped off Singapore Art Week and its highlight event, Art Stage Singapore, which profiled contemporary Australian art this year as one of the fair’s “Platforms”.
