As the largest overseas survey of Australian art heads to London, senior artist John Olsen allowed himself to crow.

‘We’re going to knock the socks off them in London,’ he told the farewell party at the National Gallery of Australia, there to say good-bye to three major paintings, which are among 200 that are heading to Britain for a major exhibition, jointly curated by the  NGA and Royal Academy of Arts, London.
