The NSW government is recognising creative practitioners may need a helping hand with the business side of their career. Late last year it appointed Monica Davidson as the State’s first Creative Industries Business Advisor. Davidson, who has an extensive background working as a mentor, freelance writer and filmmaker, is now spearheading a 12-month pilot aimed at assisting creatives to start, run and grow their own businesses.
