U3A Foyle has received funding of just under £656,000 from Sport Northern Ireland and Arts Council NI towards building a purpose built Active Ageing Centre. This Active Ageing Centre – a joint venture for Sport and Art – will encompass a Sports Hall large enough for 4 bowling lanes and/or a Badminton Court which will also host our Tai Chi, Yoga and Movement to Music and Men’s Physical Activity classes. There is also a multi-purpose room and fully accessible toilets and changing rooms.

The Art Suite section consists of a large purpose built Art Room with picture windows and an Art Studio to house arts activities including Calligraphy, Craft-making and Art Appreciation groups. Ulster Garden Villages have promised support for Art equipment.
