English National Ballet resilient in face of cuts

Arts Council England’s assessment of English National Ballet is that “the organisation would contribute well to a national picture of funded organisations which is balanced across size, type, artform, geographical spread, diversity and contribution to our goals”.

However, a reduced settlement from Department of Culture, Media and Sport has meant that the top nine funded organisations have had equivalent ACE funding reductions of (%) for 2012-15. For English National Ballet, this represents a cumulative reduction in funding against budget of approximately £2 million.
