Global live stream celebrates World Ballet Day

The Australian Ballet joins companies in Russia, Canada, the UK and the USA in an unprecedented celebration of their art form.

A behind-the-scenes look into the backstage lives of the world’s leading ballet dancers and companies is being presented from midday AEST today (3am BST) for World Ballet Day 2014.

Crossing time zones and borders, the live video stream – an unparalleled collaboration between The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet – will take viewers into rehearsal rooms, feature interviews with key artistic staff, and explore the day-to-day lives of dancers.
