This year is the Musicians Benevolent Fund’s 90th birthday, and in celebration it is collaborating with musicians, music lovers and organisations to hold 90 events throughout the year all over the UK. Events can be anything from a gig or concert, to a cake sale, to running a marathon. By holding an event in 2011 in honour of the Fund’s 90 years: 90 big ideas campaign you will be making a huge difference to musicians’ lives.

The Fund also has special charity places in London’s music half marathon Run to the Beat 2011 powered by Nike+. Run to the Beat starts and finishes at The O2 in London on Sunday 25 September 2011. The course is 13.1 miles and has 16 live music stages along the way – music to motivate you. If you love music and you love running, sign up to London’s music half marathon and run for musicians in need.
