Independent director Gus Van Sant has shot a sex scene test reel featuring Alex Pettyfer in a pitch to direct Fifty Shades of Grey.
Judging by the success and sales figures of EL James’ erotic novel, it’s only a matter of time before the salacious adventures of Anastasia Steele slither onto the silver screen. Van Sant hopes to have his car keys plucked from the director’s fishbowl by independently shooting the test reel, in which he cast Magic Mike actor Alex Pettyfer as billionaire S&M enthusiast Christian Grey, according to The Wrap.
