As Britain officially emerges out of an economic crisis in 2010, a new type of artistic entrepreneur has evolved.
Entrepreneurs and indeed artists, who had previously struggled to navigate the sometimes complicated world of the arts, are establishing their identities and brand.
Donna Glashon is the Curatorial Director of Pickled Productions, they are launching their first networking event – Thriving Connections, this summer and it is in partnership with Get British Business Online Campaign and supported by the Press Association (the official 2012 media partner). The event is to contribute to the two year countdown to the Olympic Games by preparing the arts to collaborate with the media and successfully access business opportunities to showcase the best of the United Kingdom, whilst encouraging artists to utilize digital to enhance their artistic out-put, marketing and business acumen.
