Job Description

Full Time, 35 hours/week (Monday to Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm)

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 + 12.5% pension contribution + other benefits

Location: Henry Moore Institute, The Headrow, Leeds

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an important position in a vibrant visual arts organisation, offering a pivotal role within the programme team.

We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated self-starter; a confident and diplomatic communicator with a keen interest in the visual arts and excellent attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional time management skills, good literacy and numeracy, enjoy working as part of a team and will be adept at anticipating team needs.

This is an ideal role for someone with great organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude, who is seeking to develop their career in the visual arts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide PA and administrative support to the Head of HMI and the wider programme team, including diary management, correspondence, internal communication, answering and redirecting calls, travel arrangements, budget management, research and the preparation of presentations.
  • Assist the programme team to deliver a programme of exhibitions and displays, including liaison with artists, collections and their representatives, museums, galleries and other partners.
  • Organise exhibition openings.
  • Assist with the production of programme interpretation material.
  • Arrange meetings including compiling agenda, taking minutes and following up.
  • Compile and summarise information for reports.
  • Ensure good communications throughout Henry Moore Institute and with Leeds Art Gallery.
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Maintain mailing lists.
  • Assist with proofreading.
  • Manage bookings for the HMI flat and rooms.
