We are looking for someone who will help put the Technical Team on the map within the industry. This means taking pride in the standards we deliver, strengthening relationships with visiting companies, and helping the Grand to be recognised for its professional, welcoming and well-run technical operation. Working as part of a small, skilled team, the postholder will contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the department, ensuring that all performances, events and visits are delivered to a consistently high professional standard.
Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For A skilled and reliable technical theatre professional with a strong foundation in stagecraft, and the ability to contribute confidently. A calm and confident decision-maker who can assess situations, take responsibility under pressure, and support safe and effective technical operations. Strong leadership and teamworking skills, with the ability to supervise, support and motivate. A proactive and practical approach, anticipating technical challenges and contributing to effective solutions. A commitment to maintaining high professional and presentation standards. A strong understanding of health and safety within a live performance environment, with a consistent focus on safe systems of work and risk management. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines A collaborative communicator, able to build positive working relationships with visiting companies, production managers and internal departments
