Job Description

Creative Communities Manager Deadline: 22 July 2026 We’re looking for two Creative Communities Managers to to build relationships, support creative conversations and develop community-led cultural activity across Tendring.

We are advertising for two roles:

Creative Communities Manager Clacton & Jaywick – this role will primarily be based in Clacton and focus on the areas of Clacton, West Clacton and Jaywick.

Creative Communities Manager Harwich & Tendring Network – this role will primarily be based in Harwich and focus on the areas of Harwich and wider Tendring, including towns, villages and rural communities.

This role combines community organising, creative facilitation, project coordination, cultural participation, and grassroots relationship building.

You will:

Support the delivery of the Creative Tendring by establishing the listening, participation, and activation programme.

Spend time in and bring creative engagement activity to local neighbourhoods, community centres, libraries, schools, festivals, cafes, parks, local organisations, seafront locations and other everyday spaces.

Work closely with residents to build confidence and knowledge.

Identify, recruit, support, and manage community ambassadors.

Support communities to shape, influence, and lead future creative activity.

Ensure community voices remain central to programme development and decision making.
