Wales in Venice 2011 Exhibit Announced

Arts students and graduates who studied across the whole of the country and beyond have landed dream jobs at one of the world’s most famous art exhibitions.

Rebecca Voelcker is in her second year at Goldsmiths College, London, doing a BA in Art Practice. Rhian Haf who is currently completing an MA in Architectural Glass at Swansea Metropolitan University, and Sean Puleston, a graduate from the same university, join the seven other selected artist invigilators for Wales in Venice 2011 – the Welsh exhibition at this year’s 54th International Art exhibition.

Hosted by Arts Council of Wales and curated by London based Tom Rowland of Tom Rowland Fine Art, the exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, 4 June until Sunday, 27 November 2011 at Santa Maria Ausiliatrice: the Ludoteca in Castello. The exhibition features new work by one of Wales’ leading artists, Tim Davies who works in a range of different materials, including, found imagery, sculptural installation, collage, framed works, and film.
