Arts job opportunities booming in Hong Kong

A massive cultural precinct development in Hong Kong promises jobs for museum, theatre and visual arts professionals.

Michael Lynch, the Australian who revitalised London’s Southbank Centre, has moved to Hong Kong to head up the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.

Lynch has taken on a project he describes as ‘crazily ambitious’; a 40 hectare cultural district, including 17 cultural facilities: a museum, exhibition centre, mega-performance space, several theatres, teahouses and 23 hectares of open parkland.
