Translators' House Wales, a house of historic and architectural interest, offers writers from abroad and translators the opportunity to get right away from the stresses and strains of everyday living and to concentrate on their writing in beautiful countryside in a house renowned for its relaxed and stimulating atmosphere. Translators' House Wales is a partnership beween the National Writers’ Centre for Wales, Ty Newydd and Wales Literature Exchange. Tŷ Newydd offers a programme of residential creative writing courses in Welsh and English to writers of all ages, at all levels of experience and in many genres, and also organises writers’ retreats and residencies. It is situated in the heart of Welsh speaking Wales and aims to nurture the reading and writing of both literatures of Wales while encouraging interchange with writers from other countries.
Accommodation Information
Everyone has a single room and most of these are en-suite. There is a bedroom suitable for wheelchair users or those with a mobility impairment.

Tŷ Newydd is a historic house located in the Snowdonia National Park, in wooded surroundings, a few minutes' walk from the sea of Cardigan Bay, with the mountains of Snowdonia in the background.
