An opportunity to exhibit and display art work, showcased in the forest setting of a new three day music festival: Warm Up Festival, Aug 21-23 2020.
Deadline 9th Feb 2020
Warm Up is a visionary pillar of the London club scene, earning itself a reputation as one of the most respected dance music communities in the city, famed for its legendary parties, welcoming atmosphere and forward-thinking sound palette, representing the best in techno, house, progressive and electronica.
In 2020 Warm Up embarks on a new adventure, a three day music festival set in a Hertfordshire pine forest. We are offering an opportunity for both emerging and pioneering established visual artists to display their work, through clever curation in Warm Up Festival’s new forest home. Our vision is to engage all the senses in an immersive environment by bringing captivating contemporary art to our woodland setting.
If you are a sculptor, installation artist, or have an existing light piece, or work in the realms of performance or video art, you can submit a proposal to exhibit your work by sending images and videos of the piece, with details of space, dimensions and power requirements, to email@example.com. Please also send us a link to your website and/or any social media pages.
We are particularly interested to hear from artists riffing on the concept of ‘home’ as community is at the heart of our festival. Our family moto, ‘Home is where the house is’, referring to our wonky house shaped logo, has come to mean so much to so many. A take on the theme can be as abstract or as literal as you take it and likewise we are open to other proposals that do not necessarily adhere to this concept.
We have an arts budget available to allocate to visionary, cutting edge proposals that promise to be an exciting edition to our festival landscape. In your application please detail a clearly allocated and accounted for budget plan.
All artists will also receive two festival tickets and 3 meals a day will be provided on the days you are working on the install and de-rig.
This is an exciting opportunity for both established and emerging artists to submit already realised works, as well as proposals for new site-specific pieces, for our magical woodlands.
