ScoglierViva - Sculpting the Sea

Call for Sculptors! Entries open for the 20th edition of "Scogliera Viva. Sculpting the Sea", international outdoor sculpture competition.?Deadline 17 May, free application worldwide Entries are open to the 20th edition of "Scogliera Viva. Sculpting the Sea", international outdoor sculpture competition.

The Prize is aimed at enhancing the town of Caorle (Venice) and especially the cliff dividing the Adriatic sea from the town center, transforming it into a real open-air contemporary art gallery. Participation in the competition is free and open to sculptors from all over the world. The theme is free, each artist can choose the subject to propose for the enhancement of the cliff.

The projects must be submitted by May 17, 2021. The contest sees the awarding of 3 cash prizes of € 2,000 for each of the 3 winning artists selected by the Jury. Board and lodging are also included for the entire period of stay in the town of Caorle, from 17th to 26th June 2021, for the creation of the work on site.

The winning works will be presented to the public on the evening of June 26, 2021 in the town center of Caorle.

The selection of the submitted projects will be made by an Awarding Jury consisting of 3 prestigious names in the international Contemporary Art scene:Michelangelo Galliani – Sculptor and Professor of Techniques of marble and precious stones at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino Danilo Premoli – Architect and designer, member of the Scientific Committee of ADI Design Index 2020 and 2021 and for the Compasso d'Oro 2022 Pietro Valle – Architect, founder of Studio Valle Architetti Associati in Udine Eligibility: sculptors from all over the world, with no restrictions in terms of age, sex or other qualifications?Contest terms >>> application until May 17, 2021, FILL IN THE ONLINE FORM >>>
