2020 World of WearableArt Awards Competition
The World of WearableArt Awards Competition is an internationally renowned wearable art competition that, each year, attracts entries from over 40 countries around the world. The Competition is an opportunity for designers to create the unimaginable, and defy creative expectations.
Each year, World of WearableArt invites designers, artists and makers from around the world to realise the unimaginable and challenge the conventional as they create works of art that will be brought to life on stage at the annual World of WearableArt Awards Show in New Zealand.
The Awards Competition is a unique platform for designers to share and showcase creativity and inspiration, expand horizons through global connections to other creative companies, experiment with new techniques and technologies and build on professional portfolios of design work.
The Competition offers not only prize money (a total prize pool of NZ$187,500 but also profile and promotion of designers’ work, networking opportunities, and access to exclusive and highly sought-after internships and residencies with exciting creative companies around the world (including Cirque du Soleil in Canada, Weta Workshop in New Zealand and The Residency Experience in Los Angeles).
