The Story of Isolation

Sharing experiences is pivotal in generating empathy and living in a loving, peaceful world. Following our exhibition ‘Daisy Land’, where the artist took us on a journey through her own experience of isolation, we are asking artists for their response to isolation in accordance with the following brief:

Your artwork is to in some way relate to the structure:

  • A beginning
  • A middle
  • An end
  • A what next

It is also required to respond to a historical artefact which can relate to mental health or your own associations with your own wellbeing.

These can be found in various online museum collections such as:

  • https://wellcomecollection.org/works

Here are some questions for inspiration:

  • If you could speak anonymously through someone else, what would you say?
  • What has kept you company in different stages in your life?
  • If you could anything to a lonely friend, what would you say?
  • If you could say anything to yourself and believe it, what would it be?

It can be in any medium, any size. It must be photographed well, for this is an online exhibition.
