Love Light Norwich: Artist Call Out

Norwich BID is looking for expressions of interests from artists for Love Light Norwich 2022.

Following the success of the debut Love Light Norwich festival in 2020, Norwich BID hopes to bring the festival back to the city in 2022. This accessible, immersive spectacular attracted over 15,000 people in its first year, with projections, interactive installations, and live performance.

If our funding bid is once again successful, the festival will bring people together to celebrate Love and Belonging  in February 2022, using work from local, national, and international artists to produce a unique and memorable experience. The festival offers much needed light, hope, and togetherness.

Norwich BID is inviting all artists to submit their proposals to present existing artwork and exciting new commissions for the festival. This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their work and skills in one of the biggest light festivals in the East of England. All commissioned artists will receive a fee for their work.

We’re looking for original, unique pieces of work that offer a great visual impression to the public and bring light art to a broader audience. The aims of the project include:

  • Bring people together in the city centre
  • Nurture the evening economy
  • Create civic pride; enchanting, cut-through images
  • Showcase Norwich’s contemporary influence
  • Increase out of season tourism
  • Promote sustainability

The closing date for applications is 15th of March 2021.
