Cottesloe turns ten

Perth’s much loved outdoor sculpture exhibition Sculpture by the Sea celebrates its first decade this March.

It was in 1997 that David Handley, Founding Director of Sculpture by the Sea Inc, birthed this iconic event,, staffed entirely by volunteers and with just $100 in the bank account, from his lounge room. It was an overnight success with 25,000 visitors that inaugural year at Bondi.
