To celebrate the opening weekend of our spring exhibitions The Hepworth Wakefield are offering young people aged 14-19 the opportunity to create a film in 48hours inspired by exhibiting artist Ben Rivers on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February. Young people will work with film-maker Joe Hepworth from the National Media Museum in a series of masterclasses including scriptwriting, filming and editing to produce a short film inspired by Ben Rivers’ film Slow Action.

As part of his exhibition, artist Ben Rivers has programmed a series of post-apocalyptic film screenings on Thursday evenings. The final film created during the 48hour film school will be screened on Thursday 16 February at 5pm as part of the Ben Rivers Film Club along with the cult 80’s B movie valley girls vs zombies in the Night of the Comet (15). £4 (£3)
