'Got The Skiffles' Holloway Arts Festival Dance Project NEEDS YOU!!
Instantly Theatrical are looking for up to 15 people for an inter-generational community dance project, to create and perform 'Got The Skiffles' for the Holloway Arts Festival, as part of Big Dance Islington 2012. Anyone between the age of 5-100 can apply, no dance experience needed, just lots of enthusiasm! Families and groups of friends welcome.
Participants will work with 3 dance professionals and a costume designer to create a fun, family friendly dance performance based on 1950s Skiffle. Sessions will take place at the Old Fire Station, 84 Mayton Street, N7 6QT . Participants will need to commit to the following dates:
Creation day 1 – Saturday 19th May, 10-5pm,
Creation day 2 – Sunday 20th May, 10-5pm
Rehearsal & Costume day – Sunday 27th May, 10-5pm
Performance day 1 – Saturday 2nd June, time TBC, Mayton Street Festival 2012.
Performance day 2 – Sunday 3rd June, time TBC, Big Day Out at Whittington Park.
