Dan Proops has his third one man show, Sam’s Desktop III in May at The Empire Gallery in Vyner Street E2. Dan paints oil on canvas and is an Honours graduate from Goldsmiths. He has shown at Art Brussels and The London Art Fair. His work relates to American pop art; he paints with the stylistic influences of the iconic classical painters such as Vermeer and Ingres but with the humour and ideology of artists such as Lichtenstein and Warhol.
Microsoft were so impressed by his “Windows Painting Downloading” they featured it in their Design IT art exhibition last year in Cork Street where Dan was also on a panel discussing the marriage between art and technology.
