London Sparkles with the Vibrant Colours

ArtsHub | Wednesday, August 18, 2010

MEDIA RELEASE COURTESY OF: Swaroop Arts

Young husband and wife duo Bhumi and Milan Bakrania unleash their captivating art to the world for the first time. Their exhibition “First Expression” starts in London from August 23rd 2010.

Their ethnic art, unique and thought provoking event incorporates themes from Eastern cultures and mythologies. The sights and sounds exploding from the works and surroundings displayed during this weeklong exhibition, bring authentic Indian tradition right into the heart of London.

Their meticulously created work will be held within an installation of magical and inspirational props to add to the uniqueness of this special exhibition. Turning the gallery into a memorising spot of calmness and aesthetics amongst the polar opposite London world outside. Music by world-renowned composer Karunesh will fill the gallery together with meditative lighting to enhance Milan and Bhumi’s arrival into the art world. Around 6000 Swarovski Crystals will emanate and sparkle from the paintings lighting up Mayfair.

Artistic and talented, this couple have taken their passion for all things creative on to the next level by arranging their very first exhibition together. A variety of unique oil paintings will be on display, including topics on spirituality to fashion.

Bhumi's work is inspired by her Indian roots, allowing her to create a collection of unique ethnic motifs and abstract tapestry's flavoured with eastern henna designs, genuine Swarovski crystals, gemstone embellishments and the colours of celebration.

The collection is also comprised of enchanting landscapes, spiritual depictions and paintings, which touch on ethereal surrealism added by Milan Bakrania, the author of the novel, The Emissary and soon to be released Flicker.

Opening on Monday 23rd August, their exhibition will be filled with positive energy, vibrant colours and worldly charm to the delight of its audience. A truly uplifting exhibition and one that should not be missed.

In addition to their artwork, Milan Bakrania, an established author, will be selling signed copies of his book, The Emissary. The Emissary was launched in June 2010 and sold out its first run within the launch week. His second novel Flicker is due out later in the year.
