Back for its third winter outing Cambridge Wordfest takes place over 2 days – 27/28 November - and features an exhilarating line-up of exciting events. Authors appearing include:

Armistead Maupin, a rare opportunity for all fans of the magical Tales of the City sequence to meet its creator. Armistead Maupin is on a rare and whirlwind tour of the UK and will be in conversation with novelist Patrick Gale. “Maupin, with all his elegance and charm, has found a place among the classics.” The Observer;

Quite simply one of our best living writers, Jeanette Winterson is here to discuss her astonishing debut, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit in this, its 25th anniversary year;

Cambridge resident Allison Pearson will be talking about her latest novel I Think I Love You with Guardian journalist Natasha Walter. “a precisely observed account of the obsession of early adolescence, doing for the pop crush what Nick Hornby has done for football and vinyl.” Sunday Times;

The No.1 bestselling author of Labyrinth and Sepulchre, Kate Mosse, joins us to discuss her haunting and thrilling ghost story The Winter Ghosts;

Acclaimed biographer Hilary Spurling shares her insights into the astonishing life of Nobel Prize-winning novelist Pearl Buck.
