Talent-spotting curators announce this year’s selection for The Future Can Wait, following up on last year’s sell-out success.
Zavier Ellis and Simon Rumley, the two driving forces behind The Future Can Wait, have announced this year’s crop of artists to be featured in this year’s show. The artists include Mark McGowan, Hugh Mendes, Sam & Luke Jackson, Gayle Chong Kwan, Alex Gene Morrison, Erik Tidemann, Tim Ellis, Kim Rugg, Gordon Cheung, Gavin Nolan, Miranda Whall, John Stark, Richard Moon, Monica Ursine Jäger and Aisling Hedgecock, 50 of the young rising stars and future greats who will be exhibiting at The Future Can Wait during London’s busiest art week this October.
Set to become a milestone in the international art landscape, The Future Can Wait provides an exclusive platform for emerging and mid career artists to engage directly with collectors and the art loving public.
Ranging across all media, from painting to sculpture, to video, photography, installation and performance art, The Future Can Wait brings together the freshest and most promising stars of tomorrow, adding new excitement to London’s art fair week.
Having curated and collected some of the most exciting young and progressive artists during this period, both Ellis and Rumley have become known for spotting rising talent early. John Stark and Gavin Nolan, shot to success after being included by Ellis and Rumley in last year’s edition of this unique museum-scale exhibition, which showcases London-based and trained artists collectively known as The New London School.
Conceived to compliment and complete London's Frieze week, The Future Can Wait represents an ambitious, privately funded and curated show that stands together and apart from the art fair routine.
