MEDIA RELEASE COURTESY OF: QUAD
QUAD in Derby will be holding a special Q&A with local Director Nick Whitfield following the screening of his new film Skeletons (certificate tbc) on Monday 2nd August at 6:15pm. Shot in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, this surreal comedy is the first feature film from Derby director Nick Whitfield. Skeletons has received critical acclaim and won the Michael Powell Award for Best New British Feature at the 2010 Edinburgh Film Festival. In the film, Davis and Bennett are a mismatched pair of travelling salesmen for Veridical Ltd, in the business of cleaning skeletons from closets. Together they travel across Britain, wandering in and out of other people's lives, performing the 'procedure' whereby hidden secrets and lies are exposed. They literally bring the skeletons out of the closet.
Nick Whitfield said “I’m delighted that Skeletons is coming to QUAD. It’s a great venue. The landscape of Derbyshire is a character in the film in its own right and, in that sense, the film is coming home.”
Skeletons screens at QUAD from Monday 2nd – Thursday 5th August.
Cinema tickets are £6.50 (£5.00 concessions). For more details or to book seats, please call QUAD Box office on: (01332) 290606 or go online.
