Screen-Skills: The BBC Blast and BAFTA TV Craft Bursary Scheme
Want to get behind the scenes in TV? Got an idea for a new programme or want to gain the skills to work on your favourite shows?
BBC Blast and BAFTA have teamed up to present a fantastic opportunity for young people looking to break into the world of television.
The all-new Screen-Skills bursary scheme will give eight young people the chance to receive a £3000 budget, plus the support of leading industry professionals and a BAFTA award-winning mentor to create their own new and original piece of work.
This BBC Blast & BAFTA TV Craft bursary scheme will allow 16-19 year olds to develop their skills over six months in their chosen role; as a Director of Photography, Editor, Scriptwriter or Composer.
As if that’s not enough, four nominated bursary recipients will also walk the red carpet at the glittering British Academy Television Craft Awards in 2010, where one of them will win the special ‘Screen-Skills Award’!
