Culture priced to youth budget

The City of Sydney has provided $85,000 seed funding for Playwave, a website offering young people aged 15–19 discounted tickets to performances at Sydney’s leading cultural institutions.

More than 20 cultural organisations have signed up for the program, including Sydney Theatre Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre and Carriageworks. Sydney Festival is also participating, offering more than 1,000 tickets to performances for its 2018 program.
