James Turrell has had a strong connection with Australia, including in important museum exhibitions, a major survey in 2015 at the National Gallery of Australia (NGA) and two permanent commissions to date – Within without (2010) at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and Amarna (2015) at the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart.
