We are pleased to invite proposals to participate in the programme for the 8th World Summit on Arts and Culture, which will explore the theme Mobile Minds: Culture, Knowledge and Change. The Summit programme will use a range of session formats to encourage interaction between delegates and we seek participants for a range of roles: from panellists and provocateurs, to presenters and facilitators. We welcome submissions from policy makers, academics, government representatives, cultural and community leaders, practitioners, and professionals working in the fields of arts, culture, creative and cultural industries, as well as other sectors.
ABOUT THE 8TH WORLD SUMMIT
The 8th World Summit on Arts and Culture will be co-hosted by National Department for Arts and Culture, Malaysia (JKKN) and the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) and will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 11 to 14 March 2019.
It is the longest running international gathering of professionals and practitioners involved in cultural policy and arts funding. Held every three years, it is the only international event of its kind in the arts and culture policy field. The Summit will bring together leading policy makers, researchers, managers and practitioners from the arts and culture sector from around the world to address the theme of Mobile Minds: Culture, Knowledge and Change, and explore key issues that affect public support for the arts and creativity.
